Last month Facebook released an announcement introducing the new call-to-action buttons for Facebook Pages.
Pages are an important destination for people on Facebook, and according to Facebook, they are ābuilding new ways for users to interact with businesses through them. This new call-to-action feature will help Pages drive business objectives. Designed to bring a businessās most important objective to the forefront of its Facebook presence, the call-to-action buttons link to any destination on or off Facebook that aligns with a businessās goalsā.
Page managers can select from a group of call-to-action buttons ā like Book Now or Contact Us ā to add to the top of their Page. The 7 calls to action available are:
ā Book Now
ā Contact Us
ā Use App
ā Play Game
ā Shop Now
ā Sign Up
ā Watch Video
Calls to action help drive users from Facebook to take actions that are important to your business (ex: booking appointments at your salon). You can add a call-to-action to your Page at no cost. Keep in mind that not everyone has this feature yet.
To add a call-to-action button to your Page:
ā Go to your Pageās cover photo and click Create Call-to-Action.
ā Choose your call to action and the destination URL that you want to link to. Facebook will automatically choose the best destination based on your specified web address, but you can edit these suggested destinations.
ā Click Create.
If you are looking to add a donation feature to your charitable organisationās Page, please keep in mind that this feature isnāt available to everyone yet.
According to Facebook, the call-to-action feature will roll out in the US over the next few weeks and worldwide over 2015, so donāt worry if you canāt see the Create Call-to-Action just yet.
